Healthy On A Budget

Gandhi is quoted to have said “It is health that is real wealth. And not pieces of gold or silver”. So then why does it seem like in order to eat and live healthy it depletes financial wealth? Do you really have to spend more in order to eat and live well? You are in luck! Here are Amaranth’s lucky 7 ways to save!

  1. Shop Seasonal. Fruits and vegetables grown near you didn't have to travel as far to get to you so they are usually cheaper than produce that travelled greater distances.

  2. Grab It! Look in the store for discount produce grab bags. While imperfect, or very ripe produce may not always look the part aesthetically, they still have their powerhouse nutrients and can be used up quickly in baked goods, stir frys, soups & stews or cooked and then frozen to use at a later date.

  3. Stay Cool!- Look for discounted meat in the freezer section. While it is frozen and not fresh, it is ready to be cooked right away upon thawing!

  4. Start the Car!- Amaranth hosts two consistent sales events a month, where you can save 20% off of supplements, personal care and wellness products as well as 12% off the entire store. You can learn more here!

  5. Check It! Review the monthly flyer for special deals and promotions to stock up in advance of your go-to’s- click here (link to flyer pages)

  6. Ask Before You Buy!- the most expensive supplement or product is the one that doesn’t work or taste good. Asking a wellness advisor for guidance on finding the best product for you or a staff member for their taste test approval is a great way to ensure you buy the right product- saving you money!

  7. Plan and List It!- By meal planning and making a grocery list in conjunction with that plan has you laser-like focused on what you need and what you don’t. This helps to save you both time and money!
