Bleswold dairy products are A1 beta-casein free, Bleswold have for the past 10 years been breeding their cows in a ‘back to roots’ manner. This means they do not have a purebred Holstein herd but a mixture of at least 5 different breeds. Each breed also comes with their own unique DNA. This has given them a massive genetic pool to choose from and it has also greatly helped to improve the health of their herd. As a bonus, Bleswold have been able to breed most of their herd to produce milk free of the A1 beta-casein, i.e. A2 Milk for their dairy products!
