Celebrating 30 Years of Amaranth Foods + A Year in Review 2024
Another year has gone by and we've hit an even higher milestone! We are honoured to be your choice of store for creating better ways for us to eat, live and thrive. To 30 years of Amaranth Foods as it began with our founder, Ken Klatt, and to his son & co-owner, Brendan who continues our mission to provide an outstanding experience every day, one person at a time.
Charities of Choice
Every 3 months, Amaranth Foods donates to select charities of choice. 1% or more of Amaranth’s profits are pooled and split into funds for the selected charities for the year.
Since 2007, we've donated a rough estimate of $70,000. A firmer number is $35,000 since 2015 and in 2024 was $12,178 to registered charities!
Last year we supported many charitable organizations & foundations including:
Children and Adolescent Services for All (CASA) Mental Health
Canadian Red Cross for Jasper Wildfire Relief
Supporting Our Community
We also supported community organizations with volunteer and catering efforts:
Arbour Lake School Wellness Fair
Arbour Lake Community Centre Meet-Your-Neighbours Event
Calgary Celiac Wendy T's Gluten-free Stampede Breakfast

From All of Us, Thank You
Your support over the last 30 years has made a difference not just for us but across Alberta and Canada. For the mom and pops that run a farm just outside the city, to families that all contribute in small businesses, and let's not forget our hardworking & amazing staff that come in with a smile everyday- we owe it to you all!
With warm wishes and our deepest gratitude,
- Ken & Brendan Klatt
